Welcome to our blog! We are Samantha & Stephen Bender of Sb Photography located near Iowa City, Iowa. We photograph just about everything we can get our hands on, and specialize in weddings and seniors....we just love 'em! Most recently we were voted to be the Top Photography Studio in Eastern Iowa on KCRG Channel 9's A-List! (www.kcrg.com) We feel so honored and blessed by the love our clients and the public have shown for our work!

Meet Emily:
Emily likes horses.
She works at the Cedar Valley Stables and loves it!

Meet Brack:
Brack loves the Cubbies. He can always tell you who they’re playing next (trust me…I’ve tested him!
He’s one tall kid…he’s 6′5″… my neck was about sore by the end of this shoot from looking up at him.
He plays basketball and football for the West Branch Bears.
He’s a really nice guy. I’ve gotten to know him through Stephen’s basketball team and he’s so nice! He’s also great for entertaining a very energetic and excited 3 year old (our son Grant!)

Eric met Amy in a college class they shared at the U of Iowa. The day he first met her, Eric told his brother he had met the woman he wanted to marry. BUT, Eric had his work cut out for him….considering he didn’t even know his future bride’s name yet! Fortunately, Eric got to see Amy often in his classes at school so he soon learned her name…and now she’s his wife.
Their wedding day was so beautiful. Amy was beautiful and she was glowing with happiness…her smile stretched from ear to ear! Eric just couldn’t take his eyes off of Amy. During his toast at dinner he shared with the crowd that he was now married to such a gorgeous woman! So sweet!

First of all I have to say this was our first full shoot in the new studio! Oh my stars I am just in love with the new studio…there is color everywhere! It’s just gorgeous and it’s my dream location to shoot. We’re thinking about having an open house later this winter so we’ll invite you all out! If you want to see it before then, just give us a buzz…we’d love to show you!
Meet Holly:
Holly likes to run…alot. She’s a cross country and track runner…and I bet she’s awesome…just look at those long legs.
She could be on America’s Next Top Model, seriously. This girl is 6 feet tall and with her heels she’s 6′4. I felt really short walking next to this gorgeous girl in heels!
She’s often told she looks like a famous actress…but I’ll let you guess who it is!

Adam’s athletic.
He likes football. He’s the quarterback for the West Branch football team.
He likes basketball. He plays on WB’s basketball team (which Stephen coaches!)
He’s a really nice kid. He’s one of those guys that everyone likes just because he’s so nice!

Meet Natalie:
Natalie has a gorgeous smile.
She works at Mauries and has great style.
She can totally rock out a vest and has since inspired me to get one.

Instead of fireworks and lawn chairs, our 4th of July consisted of Emily and Dan’s wedding, which was even more spectacular than those vibrant color bursts in the night sky. Dan is Stephen’s first cousin and he is part of the Hartzler family…a group of the sweetest people we are so blessed to know! We knew we were going to have fun at this wedding because we were not only photographers but also part of the family!
Emily had the most beautiful details to her day and they all portrayed one word…elegance. From the gorgeous cathedral, to the beautifully simple dress, it was all exquisite.
